The process packing to move and moving is not easy. However,
Box Xpress has developed a household moving checklist of packing supplies to help
you organize and execute your move. In addition to the household moving checklist,
Box Xpress is also pleased to share some helpful packing tips to assure a safe move.
Taking Inventory
People frequently move because they've outgrown their home. At Gentle Giant, we’ve
found that almost everyone we move has unused items that are taking up a great deal
of space. The time period prior to your move is an ideal time to start organizing
and discarding unused items. A great first step on your moving checklist is
gathering unwanted clothing and furniture pieces which may be donated to
charitable organizations.
In preparing for your move, set aside important documents and items that may be
needed during or immediately after the move, such as plane tickets, passports,
medicine, etc.
Creating a Checklist
Of all the packing tips we can offer, the most important is to equip yourself with
quality packing supplies. While “free” used food or liquor boxes may seem like a
good bargain initially, they are typically poorly constructed and not designed for
re-use; placing your possessions at high risk of damage on a move. Peace of mind for
your move begins with the guaranteed high quality of Box Xpress boxes and supplies.
